At 8.30pm on Saturday 31 March 2012, hundreds of millions of people across the globe will switch off the lights of their homes and businesses for one hour - Earth Hour, the world's largest public environmental action. Once again, you can contribute to this global pursuit of on-going environmental change that goes beyond the hour. This year the core campaign for Earth Hour is I Will If You Will (IWIYW): It is one party's promise to provide a reward if another party meets its challenge to do something positive for our environment. The goal is to unite people around the common goal of a positive environmental outcome. The IWIYW campaign aims to get people, government, business, organisations and all other groups to go beyond the hour, take action and join a common cause. It is a fun and interesting viral campaign that can generate sustainable environmental outcomes. IWIYW is an invitation to "Dare the world to save the planet" - for example:

Show your friends, family, colleagues, clients and other contacts that you're supporting Earth Hour and contributing to global environmental change: Switch off non-essential lights on Saturday 31 March 2012 Turn off non-essential lights in your homes, buildings and other facilities during Earth Hour 2012 from 8.30pm-9.30pm on Saturday 31 March. Join hundreds of millions around the world in leading global environmental change. Dare the world to save the planet Create an I Will If You Will challenge and record it, using a webcam or cell-phone. We'll host your challenge on the Earth Hour site (www.earthhour.org.za) and let you know when your challenge has been met. Be creative!
